1948 Tazio Nuvolarisigned Letter with envelopeWhat an incredible piece this is!
Tazio was doing well in the post-war era and he had lend a sum of money to Mr. Pighi in Castel d'Ario (a village some 20 km from Tazio's home in Mantova, Italy). When the legal interest rate had been adjusted upwards in December 1947 and in January 1948, Tazio sent this letter (registered with return receipt!) to Mr. Pighi informing him that he will be held to pay the increased interest rate.
Tazio Nuvolari signed it in black ink. It is in excellent condition and comes complete with the original envelope.
Only 1 available of course and we provide a Certificate of Authenticity with it which guarantees that this is a genuine signature.
On 12th March 1967 Alfa Romeo supprised the motorsport world with the Alfa Romeo Tipo 33/2 Periscopica, a light weight sportscar prototype with a V8 2.0 litre engine.
Autodelta SpA entered the car for the hillclimb event at Fléron in Belgium, with Teodore Zecolli behind the wheel.
Zeccoli drove the car 3 km's up the hill in 1' 10".8 crushing the competition with their big engined Ford GT40's, Ferrari's and Porsches.
The cars name from then on was Alfa Romeo Tipo 33/2 Fléron.
